Servers & Racks

Racks and servers are the backbone of your data centre. Understanding how to set them up efficiently is key to maximising your token income.

Racks

A rack is a cabinet that holds multiple servers. You need at least one rack placed on your plot before any servers can run.

To place a rack:

  1. Open the Inventory GUI.
  2. Select the rack item.
  3. Move your cursor to the desired spot on your plot.
  4. Press R to rotate the rack or Q to cancel.
  5. Click to confirm placement.

Rack Sizes & Capacity

Every rack has a fixed capacity measured in U(rack units). Servers also have a U size, and the combined U size of the servers you slot in cannot exceed the rack's capacity. Bigger racks cost more but hold far more hardware.

RackCapacityCostMax 1U ServersMax 4U Servers
4U Rack4U100 Tokens41
8U Rack8U250 Tokens82
12U Rack12U500 Tokens123
16U Rack16U1,000 Tokens164
💡
You can mix and match server sizes inside a rack in any combination — for example a 12U rack could hold two 4U servers and four 1U servers (8U + 4U = 12U). What matters is that the total U never exceeds the rack's capacity.

Servers

A server is the unit that generates tokens. Different server types have different token generation rates — higher-tier servers cost more and take up more U, but earn significantly more per cycle.

Base Income Rates

Income is distributed every 5 seconds (one cycle). Each server adds a flat base rate to your income every cycle. The table below shows what each server type earns before any upgrades or capacity effects are applied.

ServerU SizeCostPer Cycle (5s)Per Minute
1U Server1U50 Tokens1 Token12 Tokens
2U Server2U120 Tokens2.5 Tokens30 Tokens
3U Server3U250 Tokens4 Tokens48 Tokens
4U Server4U500 Tokens6 Tokens72 Tokens
📊
Higher-tier servers are more token-efficient per U of rack space. A 4U server earns 6 tokens/cycle while four 1U servers (also 4U total) earn only 4 — so once you start running low on rack space, larger servers stretch your capacity further.

To install a server into a rack:

  1. Purchase a server from the Inventory GUI.
  2. Walk up to a placed rack and interact with it.
  3. Select an empty slot and confirm the installation.

Each rack has a limited number of slots. Fill every slot before buying a new rack to get the best value from each one.

Scaling Up

There is no hard cap on the number of racks you can place (within your plot boundaries). Keep adding racks and servers as your balance grows to scale your earnings exponentially.
